Having a problem with my 2005 Burstner elegance re battery and solar.
Had the controller upgraded to a Victron, plus a larger additional solar panel. Now it seems if we have a drain going on somewhere. I know the weather's not great, but the panel appears to be working fine, but the batteries seem to slowly drain down till I need to start the engine and run it, before the dreaded low battery alarm shut down goes off.
Is it possible the Burstner brain needs a reset or can they just need replacing ?

Is there voltage going to and coming from the victron solar controller?
Appears to be try and add screen shot

When adding the other panel. Did you reconnect to the batteries first so it could determine what it was working with...then add to the controller.

I didn't do the work. Local guy did it and he's as baffled as me . He does van conversions

When adding a third battery, it should ideally be the same age and condition of the other two. Just reread, so all three batteries are new?

My 2020 van has a power drain that's enough to kill the hab battery in a couple of weeks at this time of year. The solar is only generating a handful of amp-hours per day now the weather has turned and the sun is so low.

I need to plug it in today as the already tired battery is below 12v even though my Victron shunt says it's 70% charged. It's goosed. Fogstar order soon...

Any idea of the cause of the drain?
I'm going to start the van and run it to help boost up.
Fog star is?

Motorhome electronics aren't as refined as car electronics. A few milliamps here and there are expensive for a low volume manufacturer to design out. But it becomes a major issue when your vehicle doesn't move for weeks at a time. It's not a big power drain, but it adds up.

Idling the engine helps a little. But you really need to drive it for an hour to have a significant impact.

Fogstar make Lithium batteries. My battery is clearly on its last legs. So I'm going to make the jump... I bought the new battery-to-battery charger and mains charger ages ago (required as my van electrics can't charge lithium), but not fitted them yet. Winter project...

I know little about solar panels or Victron controllers but if the seasonally lower output of the panel is being distributed between (shared by) all 3 batteries simultaneously then surely it's unlikely that the bank of batteries will receive sufficient charge to get them up to fully or well charged?
What is the wattage of the solar panel?

The older original ones are 100 and 150 I believe. New one is 300.
