Hello, I wondered if anyone could advise. We are thinking of purchasing the Burstner IXEO IT 680G with the drop down bed. I have a couple of queries. Is there enough space to put bedding, eg. duvet on the bed when it is up in the roof and where do the pillows go? The other question I have is, does anyone find the table wobbly, partcularly when eating. Many thanks.

Hi and welcome to fun there are a number of forum members have this motorhome us included.
You can leave pillows and summer duvet on bed when it is up and we have never found the table wobbly at all.

Payload could be tight at just 380kg

Like Gary & Janet, we also have the 680g and what a fantastic MH it is(y)

We leave our bedding in situ other than the pillows, which we place on the shelf above the cab between the bed and front of MH; a bit difficult to describe but if you've seen one it hopefully makes sense(n)

Not had a problem with the table, maybe the fixing were loose on the one you looked at?

As mentioned above, worth considering the heavy chassis. I made the mistake of ordering the light with 3650kg upgrade thinking 450kg was amble payload! Amazing how little this is when using a MH to its full potential, e.g. full water, gas & fuel tanks, solar panels, bikes in garage and all the other essentials items required to be self sufficient for a couple of weeks away. I actually uprated to 4,100kg but had to have rear air assist fitted to enable me to do this; hindsight is a wonderful thing:whistle:

Thanks for letting us know about the bed and table, thats really helpful.

We've got the heavy chassis and uplated to 4850kg. The table wobbles a bit no real issue.
The pillows stash over head as Hellski says, and we put our duvet in the wardrobe next to fridge as we've got a Froli mattress under our std mattress as we both suffer with joint problems.
Great motorhome. With ample space.

Great, thanks panj

You lucky, lucky bar stewards. I want one of those but the price of changing from my perfectly good T660 keeps putting me off.

We looked at these and really liked them, but couldn't get a good price, in the end we went for a dethleffs i6757 which has a similar layout- massive transverse washroom and storage/good garage but being an a class the bed is transverse above the cab leaving the lounge available to use.

We also have the heavy chassis plated at 4000 kg. We have sat dish and aircon amongst other extras plus 2 x electric bikes and fully loaded we were 3990 kg’s at the weighbridge!

We have a thin “topper” on our mattress and we also put our pillows on the shelf above the cab. Our duvet goes in a small linen basket on the floor which fits perfectly in a gap between the front facing and side seating.

We are very pleased with the van. The bed is very comfortable.

I forgot to mention the table. Ours was fine to start with but after about 1 year when pulling it up on one occasion I heard a small metallic object fall down inside the leg and from that moment it became unacceptably wobbly. New parts have been ordered under warranty.

So yours shouldn’t have this problem.
