Hi
I'm just about to start hard wiring my new Victron charger, I thought I'd start by disconnecting the starter battery connection at the Electrobloc as suggested by Lenny HB. However, while disconnecting the blocks I noticed one of the connections on the Electrobloc is showing signs of overheating/burning and now I come to think about it, I could smell like a carbon smell, during our last trip this year.
I had my new Lithium battery fitted last year by Ecotree in Nottingham, but not a charger.

If my memory serves me right I think that's the fridge supply,I'm sure Lenny HB will be along now I've alerted him.

I think that's the fridge connection, does or was it working on 12v?

In that picture, looks like the fridge negative is where all the burnt is. Looks like short circuit?

There are a couple of companies that repair them. Try Apuljack.

Or A&N Caravan Services, North Wales, probably cheaper than Apuljack too.
Put it here so they are both together.

My EBL is in for repair ( more on that later)
After receiving my EBL and relevant information on my Hymer, the engineer said the fridge I currently have fitted caused the damage, the EBL101 is designed for a maximum of 120 watts, yet the consumption on my relatively new fridge at 12v is 205 watts and if keeping this fridge I need to alter the way its wired as follows:

Reroute the two high current wires currently going to block 1 ( blue (HC+) and brown (HC-) to the vehicle starter battery, blue via 20amp fuse to the positive and the brown to the negative.

The yellow (D+) stays in pin 2 of block 1.

I'm ok with above. However, there are two low current wires to deal with, a brown (LC-) and blue (LC+) and he said these two need connecting to block 1, brown to pin 3 and the blue (LC+) to pin 4, but I've tried to trace these two and cannot work out were they are currently within the loom/fittings of the EBL, my question is.

If I reroute the two problem related high current cables to the starter battery and the D+ stays in pin 2 of block 1 as detailed above, do I need to disturb/ bother with, the two low current wires, that are connected somewhere on the EBL.

I hope I've described this well enough and someone can help, because it's doing my head in.
This picture shows how it's currently wired.
The repairer has also fitted an AES fuse, which wasn't in place before as you can see, not that I know if this means anything.
