Burning Smell when driving

Before I got my gearbox reconditioned I was getting like a strong burning smell ! I thought like a a battery acid smell ?
could be wrong but could leisure battery overcharge and leave string smell ?
Anyone had similar problems ?
Ps clutch was fine when I took out gearbox so wasn’t clutch !

Really bad smell Paul like a catalytic converter but van doesn’t have one

If sulphur smell it is very likely an overheating battery which is a dangerous thing.

Overcharging or faulty battery will smell like rotten eggs not a burning smell.
Actually a strong sulphur smell.

Carefully check battery temps.

Stop putting any power into them. Ideally get them out, but possibly not whilst HOT

Disconnect leisure battery is the first step.
Live terminal first but ensure EVERYTHING is turned off.
A spark could ignite the explosive gas.

It will be hot to touch.

Should be cool, room temp. Any heat = issue
