Hi experts.

My external gas outlet socket is getting increasingly stiff to remove. Firstly, has anyone ever come across a Bulldog 6087D type plug that has a handle or grip, to facilitate turning and removal?

Secondly, is there any advice about what sort of lubricant I should use to make it easier to take out?

Thanks in advance.

I would try a little olive oil, it's a natural oil so should not harm rubber etc? Or buy a new plug for about £20. :giggle:

You mean Bullfinch I assume🙂. I'd try silicone spray.

Very unlikely there's anything commercially available.
You could possibly arundite something suitable to the top.

It really should not be at all stiff. If cleaning and light lubrication doesn't sort it the socket needs replacing.

I’m surprised that it is difficult to operate. Mine takes very very little pressure, and have to be careful that pipe hangs downward otherwise it starts to release.
