Weve had our MH over 5 years now and, touch wood, had no problems with the Type 242RV Cavagna Group Bulkhead regulator (pic below) that is currently fitted.

With the thoughts of perhaps a trip to warmer climes this winter, I'm considering carrying a spare regulator.

It is used primarily with Autogas, which can, I believe, have different ratios of Propane to Butane in different countries. But I carry as my second bottle, a Calor Propane, which has never had to be used since fitting the Gaslow 5 yrs ago.
I use Repsol Propane bottles when on site in Spain.

Looking for advice/thoughts on a spare regulator?

Are all makes the the same? Any to avoid?

You have the better hoses connecting your supply to the regulator. It helps if the regulator is higher then the bottle or tank. For belt and braces. An inline filter between the supply and the regulator helps keep the working clear of oily deposits that are in LPG.

I am carrying a Clesse 30Mb propane/butane regulator as a spare, should the Truma one fail

My only experience of failure was with a Truma regulator. I think it was about 5 years old at the time. Started getting poor flow so the oven wouldn't stay lit. Took me ages to work out it was the regulator! You've got to counter the number of reported failures against how popular they are though.
