Anyone off to BSB at Donington this weekend (31st March to 2nd April) and staying in the infield camping area?

Not this weekend but should be good as BSB is a packed race card (y)

Would have loved to but not coming to U.K. Till next week.
Have to watch it on Eurosport.Enjoy.

We will probably hear it as we are camping not too far from Donnigton.

There now staying on park farmhouse rip off site but in a VIP suite to make up. Got stuck in the soft ground this morning and had to be towed out.

We did last year for SBK, never slept a wink thanks to East Midlands. Good luck.

The planes are so low I'd recognise the pilots if I saw them in the local supermarket. Being freight they run all night.

Nope no sidecars

Already been stuck in the mud and dragged around by a tractor, it's like a swamp! :)

Exiting on Sunday may be fun... ;)

Not good new's today, at times such a cruel mistress.

A mate was in the same race, happened behind him, not a great start to the year. We all know the risks, shame when we get reminded.

A friends son had a win in the Motostar( or whatever it is this year) race, ex Supermoto guy, so pulling for him to repeat tomorrow.

Very sad, there was I moaning about the delay!Of course not knowing what had happened until I read the outcome on Crash.net last evening.
Terrible start to the BSB season and condolences to all concerned.
Let's hope for a better day today.

A very sad outcome, certainly a reminder about how dangerous motorsport can be and the risks those involved take on when competing. Condolences to all directly touched by said event.

Looks like a nice day for it, its only 20 mins up the road, but i am probably as near to the track as some of the spectators. I'm all for run off, but now you cant get round the back of Coppice, there isnt anywhere that you can get close to the action .

It was a cracking day today, Saturday not so much, although still had to be pulled out of the pitch by the tractor. :)

We camped in the infield campsite, parked up circa 25m from the track overlooking the straight after Coppice (last year we directly overlooked Schwantz Curve for WSBK). We could sit in the van eating breakfast or latterly drinking cider/wine with radio Donington playing watching the various rounds hustle by, not too shabby at all. But obviously better getting out and about around the circuit on foot.

Despite the regular airport traffic, having now done it twice, we really like the infield camping at Donington. (y)
