Dropped it on concrete, rather expected more durability but suppose I'm too old-fashioned

So what do we think -
ignore the bit being now missing (it doesn't look essential),
try to glue it back on (bit of a faff but I'm good with gorilla) or
buy a replacement (and face the faff of re-wiring..)?

Anybody had this breakage & got relevant experience to offer?

If you only plug that into your MH I'd ignore it, I suggest you look very closely at the cable along its' length, going by the short bit I can see. When we carried out PATS testing it was the single most common failure we came across.

It's only there to keep crap and tiny fingers out.
As it's either coiled in storage or plugged in neither can get in there so just ignore.
It should be plugged in before connection to the bollard anyway.

Ignore, mines been like that for years.

I would scrap the whole lot , cable used outside deteriorates with UV and generally wear and tear .. yours looks well past it's safe use by date .

I just renewed mine as it was about 10 year years old..

Suggest you also buy Arctic Blue cable, it will stay supple in cold temperatures..

Under £30 compete , from a reputable source, ... forget ebay..

cable is not fit for purpose

Thank you everyone - that's an interestingly diverse range of opinion & some useful pointers!

I inherited that cable and have been thinking it would have been better to buy a new one but didn't like to appear ungrateful so this incident & comments above are probably just the 'excuse' I need to go shopping.

Wasn't aware of the blue stuff so probs will go for that, especially if I can find it on a nice compact reel..
(Also, for what it's worth the spots of moisture in the plug got there despite the cover, which only broke off seconds before I took the photo so I can't explain them, but well done for noticing!)
