Hi, has anyone else had this problem, broken bottom guide on fly screen door, if so what did you do to repair it? I have glued it several times but this repair doesn’t last long, any advice gratefully received.

I assume we’re not talking about the modification to stop the screen jumping out of the track e.g.

You might struggle to repair that apart from Araldite as already suggested. I tried to fix one a few years back and gave up. It looks like a Dometic (FlyTec FT 200) rather than Horrex screen and getting parts and/or advice is hopeless. Eventually fitted a replacement screen, but at £350+ it wasn’t cheap. Also, replacement isn’t the easiest job if the converter installed the kitchen around it! Good luck, sorry I can’t be more helpful.

I've seen some handy people on here using plastic welding ..some using heat weld staples to reinforce the joint.

I'm pretty sure the repair can be made flush so as not to restrict sliding movement.

There are some posts on here, search for "plastic welding " maybe.
