I'm a newbie
I have a 2001 yamaha 650 v star classic. Been having lots of trouble but one has got me stopped. I was attempting to replace starter clutch and the bolt in center of fly wheel snapped off and broke right at the woodruff key. I order bolt but what or how to get the rest out. What can I do?

You will need to drill out the centre & use 'easyouts'.

Broken Link Removed
Do you think you sheared it off trying to undo it the wrong way?

Hopefully it wouldn’t be left hand because easyouts wouldn’t work.

if the bolt ends flush, you could use a centre punch and knock it round.

A photo would help.
Diameter of bolt?
Has it broken flush with the face of the flywheel or is there some (how much?) of the bolt proud?

These are the best "easy outs" I have ever used. They are parallel splined shafts that come with a hex collet that let's you get a spanner on them and will work on left and right handed threads. This set is made by Rothenberger but I think Snap On do a similar set too ? Most of the other types seem to be based on a tapered left hand thread style which can sometimes "expand" the part you are wanting to remove, jamming it in tighter and, as mentioned, won't extract a left handed bolt

.
A close second would be as Raul suggested, put a bigger nut over the broken piece and weld it up.

I used to have some success drilling out broken studs with left handed drills. The rothenburger extractors are the best if a little expensive.
