Hi All...

I'm looking to book a ferry with Brittany Ferries, to Spain.

I booked the same ferry service last year.

I seem to remember kindly, using someone elses Voyager code last year (from the funster community).

When trying to book today, there doesn't seem the option of adding such a code this time.

Question.

As anybody proceeded in using someone else code/member number to receive a discount recently?

Is it still possible to do?

If so, how?

And if so, anyone got a code/MN to use ?

Thanks all...

The use of codes from other members has stopped. If you are doing the trip out of season it may be worth you looking at joining the club (Spain) up to 30% off out of season.

Scroll down a long way this link gives you the discount according to time of year you travel. Both the French membership and the Spanish one.

My Brittany ferries membership expires today and I haven’t had a single reminder from them. I’ve just renewed it, because I set my own reminders, but surprised I wasn’t chased. Usually get chased by every company I have a subscription for when getting near the expiry time.
You had me going for a minute. I know mine runs out at this time of year and I have kids family holiday bookings relying on it. Turns out after an anxious moment or 2 that I did renew it in January. We've been members since 1991 so it would have been a shame if it lapsed.

I believe that you have 2 or 3 months to renew it, the 12 months starts again from the original renewal date. I was undecided a few years ago and paid up quite a while after the end date.

Dont know if this will work. Taken from another forum.

This came to light after reading an article in the ‘wanted’ section of this site……
When booking a trip to Spain or France using Brittany Ferries, take the opportunity to save 30% on the sailing cost!
To qualify, you need to book one of their ‘ Holiday packages’. This could be a simple one (1) night stay in a hotel, which MUST be in France OR Spain.
Having booked the hotel, you will receive 30% off your sailing invoice!!
You CANNOT book a hotel in the UK, it does NOT qualify for the discount.
Happy “Holidays”
Just to add - you can book a hotel even for one night even if you've already booked the crossing. I rang them, told them which of their partnered hotels I wanted, and I got the B&B package AND had £170 off my invoice balance

Are you on the old system? I wonder if they are doing it on purpose to get everyone on the new rates?

Having read both posts on Brittany Ferries it seems the only real discount is the Club Voyager but for us annual membership could save us £40 for one return trip as we won't do 2 in the year. Might be worth it £40 is £40.

Brittany currently have an offer on, ENDING MIDNIGHT TOMORROW for booking flexi tickets same price as Standard.

So might be becoming a member is the cheaper option and get me tickets bought today. Portsmouth to Caen. Just need to get management to agree 🙈

Any other offers you are aware of?

Doesn't quite benefit me now as discount is only 15% for travelling in May.

Hope to have booked ferry anyway this afternoon.

I booked a new ticket after I had renewed for the first time and I got a £20.00 gift voucher? Not sure if this is from a friend & family discount for the previous year?

Regarding the 30% off for booking a hotel. You will get 30% of the crossing fare, not any extras. Most important for some, is that once you have added a hotel to your booking you are now subject to the package holiday rules for changes, cancellation and payment rather then the ferry crossing rules; so if you have purchased a flexi ticket, you have just lost the flexibility! If you want to change the crossing you have to pay £25 and other rules apply! So I would suggest you discuss the implications with BF before you add a hotel booking to be sure it will work out best for you.
