I was going to post asking who was (if anyone) on Thursday’s crossing from Portsmouth to Santander but after getting an email from them telling us to get there earlier and checking the storm details, I don’t think I will be leaving our cabin. It’s going to be an interesting crossing 🤣🤣

Good Luck, Hope they don't have to cancel at the last minute like they did with us last year!

We are on the Thurs ferry ..... but not till 13th March ::bigsmile: ... but as i've never done the crossing before i am a tad on the nervous side as unsure how i'll handle the "motion of the ocean"... but there is always Red wine :)

Hope our crossing forecast is less "spicy" than yours is forecasted to be 🤞.

Fingers crossed for you sailing,we sailed last Thursday on the 16 th smoothest crossing we have ever had👍

One crossing we had there was a 10m swell!!
Confined to cabins and 4-5 hours late.
So we arrived Santander in the dark, in the rain, in the rush hour and very tired.
The aire at Área de servicios Suesa. ///curving.file.ranches. is a good find.

Most of Ireland and the seas around it are on a red warning on Friday. As much as I'd like to be heading off for a few months I wouldn't like to be out in it. It is tracking south to north during the day so imagine early to mid friday will hit the UK somewhere...batten down!

Not wanting to derail your thread but anyone know hat happens if you pay for the lounge and then are confined to cabins? Do you get a refund?

We wondered that as well especially at the price of the lounge now

Hope the loading of the ferry is better than last Thursday night. Finally drove onto the ferry at 11.50pm for an 11.30 sailing. Boat left shortly after midnight. Arrived at Brittany Ferries at 8.30pm.
Lounge was OK but wouldn't pay separately for it. It was included in our club class cabin package.

Hope it works out for you as its not as though they can put you all on the next days crossing.

Don't know but you might at least live another day.

They now include it in the price of the club class cabin, so don’t hold your breath
What? You get to go in the posho lounge with a club cabin? Didn't realise, oh the wasted opportunities!
Is it acceptable to leave our children (10&14) In the cabin whilst my wife and I enjoy the peace and quiet for an hour or so?🤣

Caught the Santander Ferry last year - we were escorted in the lift by a crew member as we had to take the Dog to the Kennel on Deck 10. She suggested that we could be unable to visit him due to rough weather - I asked when that would be . Immediately came the reply - and she wasn’t wrong! 😂

The crossing was quite rough, we were told to stay in our cabins for some of the trip. I took our own food and drink so it wasn’t a problem. I walked 467 steps the whole of Friday 🤣
Thanks for letting us know. Hope you now have a great trip.
