Looking forward to travelling next year? So are we! Our sailings for winter 2023 and our 2024 season are nearly ready!

Whether you're after endless sandy beaches and pretty seaside resorts, lush countryside walks and breathtaking mountain escapes, or a cultural break in a vibrant historic city, there's a destination in our regions that's perfect for you.

Enjoy hassle-free travel, and avoid airport queues, on our spacious ferries to France and Spain. Taking your car on holiday with you couldn't be simpler! What's more, you'll find great restaurants and bars, duty-free shopping and, of course, comfy ensuite cabins on board all our ships.

We’ve been sailing for over 50 years and know that the rich, relaxed experience of travelling by sea is something special. So set sail with room to breathe and time to unwind. Because, once you step on board our ferries, you’re already on holiday!"

What a load of cobblers. Brittany Ferries are by far the worst ferries I have ever travelled on and have been using ferries since 1986. They cause hassle by parking motorhomes on the open decks. The duty-free shops are very small and hardly ever open. The bars and restaurants are expensive with the food quality just about acceptable. The new ferries from Portsmouth to Spain are just plain boring with no entertainment and a slower crossing time.

They’re ok, saves paying extortionate prices to cross the ditch and a long drive through overpriced France for us. When I rang last week I was told the timetabl was due at the end of July.

Can't think of better ones, Excellent food, bars reasonable compared to other ferries, I always sail from or to Plymouth so sailing times as before.Customer service excellent.BUSBY..Just my opinion.

I can never get my head around why, on the UK/Spain routes, all announcements are first given in French.
On my countless trips on those routes I have yet to meet a French passenger aboard.

Happy to sail on the Pont Aven, but won’t sail on the Galicia. Not tried the other 2 new ones.

Last time I went to France (in a car) we went from Newhaven to Dieppe (DFDS) drove down got asked to open the boot asked if we had any knives 'yes we are going camping' then sent ti line up, as I registered with mobility issues parked at front of ship right next to lift had a nice refreshing crossing come into port and the lift was full of able bodied people I fell over baggage nobody bothered as I was right at the front they all had to wait for me to get to the car........we were first off brilliant next time will go that way again (y)

In my experience P&O are the worst. Never cleaned in the bar areas after British kids run amok.

We crossed to France on the Galicia in May and are returning on her this Thursday.

Found it quite acceptable. It’s a ferry, not a luxury cruise liner.

Ferry to Spain everytime for us , given that we already have 400+ miles just to get to the channel ports the very thought of having to transit through France fills me with dread .
2 nights on the boat , commodore cabin , inclusive access to the Commodore lounge with unlimited coffee , tea , snacks and deserts whats not to like
As for the price , its just factored into the budget for each trip

It’s sold as a cruise on the Portsmouth to Santander crossing. It’s slow, the food is terrible and we suffered with diesel fumes in our cabin on the return journey to Portsmouth, as did at least 8 other couples.

When the new timetable comes out do you get the free option of flexible tickets that we got last December, which I think went on until February, or is this just an offer they add at certain times.

Which vessel was that. I assume not one of the new ones which run on CNG.

Sitting on the Pont-Aven right now returning to the UK from Santander. Apart from the price what's not to like? We'll the singing duo we're pretty awful but it's a ferry not a cruise.😀
We were on the same crossing. Good meal in the Flora restaurant last night. Desperately slow and chaotic loading at Santander, over two hours. Despite having arrived early, we were virtually the last to board and ended up in the bowels of the ship parked on the ramp. Apart from that, all good, although I think the PA is showing its age now.

Well we were delighted by the service by Brittany Ferries earlier this year. Poole/Cherbourg, friendly helpful staff, parking inside, great food at very keen prices. Would recommend them to anyone based upon our experience.

The Galicia; the fumes are from an auxiliary generator, not the main engines. When the wind blows in the wrong direction, you get diesel fumes on the port side of deck 8. It was originally reported before the Galicia was 3 months old. Don’t know if the CNG powered ships have auxiliary generators in the same place.

We were on deck 8 Port side on the outward (January )and deck 9 Port side return journey (April) this year
Didn’t notice any diesel smells , maybe it’s been fixed

We use them regularly. Does what it says on the tin.

I do like the Pont Aven especially the Commodore cabins. Not been on the Galicia yet

The Commodore Class Cabins on the Galicia are not as good as on the older vessels. Much smaller, although still more comfortable than standard cabins. We thought that the CC were overpriced compared to the older ships, although the rest of the ship was OK.

I would swap the PA for any of the new Chinese built ones anytime.

I agree, it's less than twenty years old, but it does need a refit. It's also an inescapable fact that it's a dirty ship. You only have to look at the muck coming out of the stacks to see that. Unfortunately, I suspect that economics will dictate replacement rather than refitting.

I also wonder how BF will replace the capacity of the PA, the new ships carry less than half the number of passengers.

I did notice the amount of filth coming from the exhausts. Even more noticeable when there's no wind. Just a slick miles long of horrible yellow haze behind the ship. It does make you think.
