Can't make my Mind up on this one, what would you do?.

We planned long ago, purposely to take the Sunday - Tuesday 2 day crossing from Portsmouth - Bilbao by car. We have a commodore cabin booked.

Collect Family from the Airport on the Saturday, 5 days later, 1 week together and all fly back leaving the car at the Airport.

However, due to the collapse of Monarch where we have lost all our existing bookings. Daughter, Son-In-Law and Grandchildren now flying in on the Wednesday (day after we arrive). They stay until the following Thursday and then we are taking them back to the Airport. We have now decided to return on Pont Aven a few days later. Our Flights that we had paid €35 for, now escalated to £420 each.

But, we can now leave earlier, Friday instead of Sunday, arrive at our house 2 days earlier, standard 4 berth cabin, £44 cheaper.

Just cannot decide ! decisions?

I would opt to leave earlier and enjoy a couple of extra days sunshine :D2

Yep, extra sunshine, and if you amend online 5 days before outward departure (Tues latest?) then no amendment fees apply.

Sounds more like a Rubik's cube!

You should see some of the Logistics I plan.

Ferries for 80p, flights for £9 and even hotels and campsites for peanuts.

Its is just getting the other holiday members to pay attention when I am planning and sending tickets.

My Very intelligent, not an ounce of common sense Future Son-In-Law. Once hired a car when I had left mine at the airport for him. Even turned up at Hull ferry port with his Dad's, rather than his own passport. Had to collect him from Geneva some days later.

With any luck he will turn up at someone elses wedding and you live happily ever after.(Not too sure about your daughter though.)

if you are used to commodore cabins I wouldn't change, if you do pray for good weather (y)

What difference to the weather would having a comodore cabin make then?. We've always used the large outside cabin.

Sounded quite rough!!! I'm hoping for a smoother ride tomorrow winds dying down so should be ok. Don't fancy being thrown out of bed!!!

BIscay just has a bad reputation.

There are 8 commodore cabins on Cap Finistere, all situated over the Bow (Unlike Pont Aven where they are mostly further towards the stern I think).

I won’t book one again on Cap finistere. I rarely do and when I do, we have rough seas.

Return to Portsmouth from santander booked on Pont Aven. And unusually, our next Portsmouth to Bilbao is also Pont Aven.

Been at the pointy end of an old Isle of Man steam packet ferry in a storm back in '76.

No stabilsers on the old converted mine sweepers and every time the pointy end came down and smacked into the next wave the rivets were rattling.
Needed Wellingtons to wade through the puke.
