BRING & BUY MEETS MASTERCHEF SUMMER SPECTACULAR
24-06-2010 to 27-06-2010
24-06-2010 to 27-06-2010
OK Funster's I finally got round to getting it booked.
This year's Bring & Buy meet comes with a difference.
THE LOCATION
http://www.cottonarms.co.uk/
The location chosen is the now well used for Funsters Cotton arms in Wrenbury.
We use this location because the landlord is a fine friendly guy who does what he can to ensure we are happy. He charges very little and the location is superb.
There will be the use of generators, but I would imagine being the summer they would be off by 10 pm and unlikely started by 9-30am.
The pub does fine food and all pitches are on grass with no electric although if there is a worse case scenario you will be towed off.
Bring and Buy
Well firstly its the Bring and buy Meet. You just bring anything motorhome related or loosely motorhome related to sell to other Motorhomers whom are yet to realise that they did not want one.oh:
Last years Bring and Buy was a massive success with bargains galore for everyone. The only thing I ask is that you don't pitch up with a transit and start flogging things, its not a car boot!!! (Bryan & Suzy)
The Added twist is Masterchef
Yep this year we thought we would add something different. I have been trying to get this organised for some time but getting our best cooks together has proved difficult until now.
This time we aim to have a big cook off. The idea is that we prepare food(s) that can only be cooked in a Motorhome or in other words using camping accessories. You can cook absolutely anything you like from beans on bread to an ale carte dish. The food will then be served in the field (Pavillion if weather is bad) for all too taste. All that is asked is that when you have cooked what ever you cook you hand in the recipe to allow it to be put on to a pdf file for download from the site, alas helping other funsters.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO COOK IF YOU DO NOT WANT TOO ITS OPTIONAL BUT I DO HOPE YOU DO (Im not Nikki is)
And for Sunday am
There will also be a dog walk on the Sunday morning across some of Cheshire's finest land and canals for about an hour or so. If you have no dog you can still come and enjoy the walk.
The scarecrows are in town
That's right, every year the village make loads of scarecrows to go in to a competition and be judged. Some are absoloutly fantastic and dressed better than some of the funsters I've met. Great for the kids and great for grown ups to walk around the trail too.
Finally
Ok so Nikki and I would really like you to join us in this popular event. Last year we had nearly 40 vans and a really great time. This year lets see if we can match that number again. :thumb: This meet will be great for families as well as dog owners and the more gentile amongst us.
THE PRICE AND BOOKING DETAILS
Yep just £6.50 per night. This includes a welcome cocktail drink from Nikki's speciality cupboard + discounts on pub fish and chips.
If you wish to book please let me know by pm or post on the thread to let me know you wish to come. I know its a long way for some funsters but you can arrive on Thursday and stay till Monday or longer if you wish. :thumb:
HAPPY CAMPING FUNSTERS.:thumb:
Any further questions please pm me or ask away.
LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL :thumb:
