Bridgnorth Rally short notice would there be any interest 16th May

Jim mentioned local rallies so i have started putting the feelers out to see what would be available in Shropshire. As some of you are aware we were supposed to be touring Ireland during May but due to family comitments we are having to stay local so have not booked any shows or other meets.
I have been in touch with a site in Bridgnorth well within short walking distance of the town
They have a slot but it is very short notice and i know it clashes with Newbury and Gails birthday bash. it would be 15th to 19th May, price would be around £6 pupn No marqee allowed but there is a club on site with entertainment and other activities. Just checking if there would be any interest before I confirm with the :Smile:site.

Sorry, Bill, we're already set to go somewhere else that weekend.

If it is the site we stayed on with the C&CC last year, though, I would highly recommend it.

Yes Graham They did hold the C&CC last year and they will be again this year we have been told.

Sounds like a fun time Kate but alas booked in for Newbury, hope it goes well for you

The rally field is at the side of the site within 100 yards of club.It has entertainment on the Saturday night which would be an extra £2per person on that night If you wished to go. Its a fully licenced club. So bar drinks only. But you dont have to use the club there is plenty to do and see in Bridgnorth.
 
Sorry Kate we are booked for Newbury.
Such a shame as we love Bridgnorth and we have friends who run a market stall there.
If there's any chance later in the year we would be interested.

Hi Graham & Anita, We visited this site today just to ask about rallies ect to be told the site is fully booked for rallies for this year and most of next year :cry:.
This is a cancellation slot it is a one off . Thats why its such short notice, its such a shame because it would be fantastic place for a meet.

That's the one I meant. As Bill says, a great place for a meet. Pity we're booked next week.

Would have loved to have come to this meet as only down the road for us and Bridgnorth is a lovely town but we have two birthdays to go to that weekend.

It does sound a great venue and location..
As you know we cant fit it in due to other commitments...

Maybe it's a 2015 potential ???
Did you ask what the maximum number is ?? " FUNFEST 2015" :thumb:

We would have loved to have joined you but visiting friends in France. A brilliant place to visit and just down the road from us too.

I'm interested for Fris sat & sun nights, but couldn't do thurs 15th.

We would love to have come as it is just down the road but unfortunately will be away trying out my di Blasi electric tricycle in Norfolk.
If you organise another one in Shropshire we will be interested. Hope you get enough people for this one.

Well thanks to the funsters who have shown an interest in this rally. Sadly :Sad: we have decided not to go ahead with it. It is a lovely site and well worth looking at for future rallies

Thanks for your efforts..... Just down to timing I think..
However it looks like there is interest from local funsters, so maybe we can look at arranging a mini meet for the darker nights..

Kate, I think there are loads of people would love to come and support Amanda, but as with me, we are bogged down with other meets we have paid for .... I'm sure that if you do it again with a longer warning you will be turning us away. Good luck and thank you for your hard work.
