Has anyone stayed there? If so, is it nice, and can you tell me if they have grey waste dumping there? I can't find any details about it, but it's nicely located for us ...

We have not stayed there but we stayed at Talybont on Usk, a commercial site, in the Brecon Beacons which was grass only but reasonably priced on a farm. They also have no grey dump for motorhomes but that was no hardship. They have 2 fields, one with electric and one without. Pitches are huge. They also have another field dedicated to Duke of Edinburgh Award tent campers. Nice local walks on the canal, the river and around the local reservoir. 2 pubs in the village and a shop. What's not to like?

I found a mobile number and asked - no, they don't.

Try Brecon RFC. They allow you to stay there. Hardstanding (no electricity) in the car park only during the playing season. Grass pitches and electricity outside the playing season. Fresh waster, grey water and elsan pount. No toilets or showers. Situated adjacent to the canal and 10 minutes walk into the town centre. £15 a night.
PM me if you want contact details.
Safe and happy travels.

No we don't have a dog, just two badly behaved adults :)

(sok, found it !)
I've stayed there a few tomes it's a lovely site and the food in the pub down the road is excellent.
The locals ate also quite friendly

It looks fab and they have space on our dates.

We mainly like walking and (very pedestrian) cycling - would you recommend it for that?

Funnily enough we've been thinking of going to Pencelli for a few nights next weekend depending on the weather.

It's really lovely there but as it's 40 minutes from home I wild camp but use it as a treat .
The weather forecast is good and I was thinking along similar lines

Don't know that one do you have a dog as there a lovely dog free one ay pencilli Castle
Another vote for Pencelli Castle - we stayed this summer and it was very nice. There are some fully serviced motorhome pitches in the 'Orchard' area with a tap and grey waste drain on each pitch.

cheers,

Robin

It's only about an hour from us.

Stayed this year and it's a nice site, but pricey for what it offers.

Lots of sites don’t have grey dumps but they do have hedges. We are often directed to empty the grey waste into the hedge. Where we can we pipe it directly, otherwise we use a can to transport it.
