Brand New Avtex Tv

I ordered a new avtex smart tv from our local caravan seller told them the screen needs to be flipped as it for a Autotrail cab drop down tv. Guess what they never told avtex so I phoned avtex and fare play to them they said send it back and they would do it no charge for postage. Yesterday tv was back with the screen being flipped. Now setting it up I have someone’s account on it for Amazon google and so on so I have deleted all but now it’s got me thinking was this someone’s else’s tv sent back for what ever reason it all works ok but not a happy bunny. Phone call awaits Tuesday morning.

Sounds like a recon unit, not what you want from a supposedly reputable manufacturer!

Unless they set it up to test it?

Hi that’s my thoughts now. I have took a screenshot of his account. Everything works ok but it’s put doubt in my mind now.

Just email them back, they should send you a new one as that one has obviously been used

Update finally got another brand new avtex tv. All set up and working.

Hi Ducatikid if you already have the drop down tv in the front then yes it’s a straight replacement but who ever you order it off you must get them to tell avtex to rotate the screen.

Why not just use a Firestick to make the tv you have smart

Mine is not actually a TV, its a monitor for the Oyster satelite so it doesn't get Amazon, netflix ect, and I am about to lose BBC when it goes to HD only, so I'm hopeing that if I get a smart TV it will work as both a monitor for the sat, and a TV at other times, or am I asking too much? By the way my system cannot be used with a firestick.

Sorry if you have the older type Motorhome you will have the monitor so no it’s not a straight swap. Mine already had the avtex fitted so it was a straight swap.

Correct, it's just a monitor, I had a word with Oyster and they confirmd that I can't use a firestick with mine but advised me to get a new digi box that will recieve HD. I could of course get a smart tv but then I would not need the sat system which dosn't make sense.
