Morning all,
I’ve recently bought a small inflatable boat which rolls up to a compact 1.2m x 60cm x 40cm. It weighs 39kg. I’m wanting to transport on the rear of the van (boxer L4H3, plenty of weight to spare on MAM and rear axle ). I need to be able to open both rear doors while the boat is attached…
It seems I’ve got 3 options - swinging tow-bar bike storage, bike rack attached to rear door or installing a rear door ladder and securing to that. At 39kg it’s very close to the weight limit of the rear bike rack…
Has anyone done anything like this before? Hit me up with your ideas please! Have a great weekend
Ps - photos for illustration purposes only, not my photos.
