So I'm here in the sunshine of Bowness and I'm thinking "this is so similar to Peschiera del Garda, which is better ?

Both are tourist traps by a big lake, both have one purpose, to extract money from us, both excel at this.

On the whole Garda has so much more to offer, scale wise but it is 1000 miles further..

I'm confused but this year we've done both so no problem.

We went to to Peschiera for the first time this year and loved it. I think its 'horses for courses'. We visit Bowness regularly and love it, but also love the adventure of travelling abroad. Depends on how much time you have and, of course, the weather.

Bowness because it’s just 45 minutes down the road. Although I prefer Lakeside on the SW of Windermere at a CS just outside.

Bee to both a few times, it's usually betterweather in Peschiera

Bowness won handsomely last night. We went on the Jazz Cruise, again, they is on magical evening.

I don't recall ever seeing such an event on Garda, which is a bit strange.

No me neither, saw the most spectacular lightning storm though, does that count?
