Book the Tunnel direct or with CMC

Looking to go to France in September, first time in ages.
Last time I booked direct with Eurotunnel as I had some tesco vouchers.
Looking at Standard refundable in case anything goes wrong.

Got a price from the CMC, which was cheaper but they dont tell you what type of ticket it is. I suspect it will be the standard undefendable.

CMC is a bit cheaper but,
Cannot amended booking without ringing them
The booking cannot be imported to the shuttle app
You need to confirm all passengers by phone with shuttle

Next time we book it will be direct but use Tesco vouchers
