Bontera Park Spain any feed back

Fair point and I do feel Im probably going round in circles
Cant make my mind up could just bomb down there and not book but I do want a base for at least one week and maybe move on
Im going to take my motorbike so dont want to be on the move to much
I like the security of a site thats why not keen on using other options
I have seen a lot of people say Villajoya is nice
Just looking at that now 17 euro a night

Just looking at Villasol 14 nights from November 18th cost 389 euro or 27 per night inc eh on there web site
Are there anyways of getting a better price here?
Cheers

You need to use acsi discount card.

The only way is to stop longer on sites, then you can get a long stay rate, normally plus electric, failing that acsi. ?
We stopped on camping Javea for many years before moving here, took this today. ?
? Not bad for November, Janie fly's back to the UK tomorrow she might miss being here. ? Bob.

€20 with ACSI. Sorry I’ve just noticed someone else has posted this. They are happy to book months in advance with the ACSI card which is what we do so that’s handy.

Funnily enough, I have stayed there but not in a Motorhome! It was before I even knew I wanted a motorhome :) They also have bungalows etc. at Bonterra. We were there for the music festival about 3 years ago with a big group of friends.

As previously mentioned the toilets / showers are a bit tired. The restaurant was pretty good though. I seem to remember the pool attendants to have been a little over the top with rules and regulations! But a great site virtually opposite a supermarket.

Absolutely love Bennicassim though. We have been back 3 times since then. on 2 occasions, we didn't even hear an English voice the whole time we were there. Definitely not an overdeveloped Spanish resort. thankfully!

Most of the toilet blocks have been refurbished. One is being done at the moment.BUSBY.

I was referring to the aire at grau
The airfield is not a wild camping stop.It has black waste disposal and is fenced.BUSBY.

If there are any other parks worth going to then Im pretty flexible on where I stay
Il be arriving from the uk mid November for two weeks down in Spain then plan on leaving the motorhome in storage near Alicate airport

So anywhere within a few hours of the airport is good
Be interested to know where you store the van at Alicante? We currently use Chris Parking.

€20 a night with some elec thrown in if you have an ACSI card.. I booked back in March via email and quoted them i had a card, no one ever asked to see it.. Dont use the online system.
Ditcha recently made a post on here about booking Villasol and it seems they class some parts of xmas and new year as high season so dont give the ACSI rate on certain days.
€27 on each day is to much i think. There are other sites but most are busy, some full.

Yes I found that out,I couldn't get a price for acsi off them so settled for Arena Blanca the other side of town, also acsi.Glad I did as the road into town from there has some great pubs, restaurants etc.
If or when we go back it'd be a toss up between Arena blanca or benisol.

Didn't have "black" the last time we visited ('bout three years ago.) There was a regular number of visitors with the cassettes at the Grau. Nice that they have formalised the arrangement at the airport.

I think it’s debatable exactly what it is. It isn’t a site or an Aire. During the summer, motorhomes are banned. They put the waste disposal in as a hygiene measure, as who knows what was happening to the waste. There isn’t any fresh water there.

It was open in June and Sept,, don't know about July and Aug.

Closed for motorhomes, as they want it as a car park.

They dump the waste in the public toilet or the aire down the road. Never seen any facilities on the airfield.

When we cycled past the airfield last week we saw people crossing the road with their watering cans and filling them up from the water fountain thing on the beach by the blue and white loos. I presume people are emptying casettes there as well.

No facilities there. Public loo for waste and fountain for water. But some do travel to aire.

They put black waste disposal tanks at either end of the aire this spring.Cycled past yesterday and they were still there.BUSBY.

NO not now.Black waste disposal on the aire/ car park.It is rammed at the moment,,even caravans on there.Looks awful.BUSBY.

Sounds like this great place is doomed. Free campers unfortunately can't be trusted.

Yes, we thought it looked awful when we drove past there last month. We had a couple of nights on the Aire, which was really nice. I really don't get what the attraction is of staying somewhere without facilities and that looks like a traveller site.

We're now on Villasol with other Funsters and have decided to stay here until March giving Benicassim a miss this year Perri & Tony
See you both there in January, (along with the rest of the gang), as we're giving Benicassim a miss this winter too. (y)

Cheers,

Jock & Rita. :)

Black tanks emptied yesterday the council litter pickers have been round today

One of our favourites,,very clean, friendly,,decent showers and toilets,,indoor and outdoor pool, restaurant and bar,,Supermarkets within yards and excellent cycling.BUSBY.

Is the cycling on designated cycle paths or roads.

Miles of cycle paths but road cycling in Spain is very safe.Spanish drivers unlike Brits actually respect cyclists and give them plenty of room.BUSBY.

We visited many years ago and were put off by the dense tree cover. Returned this year for a couple of days and found all large trees gone and replaced with young saplings. Makes it much better now for winter camping.

As mentioned, it's a bit overrun by Brits but a convenient site to explore the area.
On our recent Autumn visits the trees are thoroughly trimmed back to give more light in winter. They will grow over again in the spring and summer.
