Hi Guys

Bonfire/Fireworks displays w/e of 2-4th Nov as well as a week later. Would anyone like to propose sites with a display nearby for a meet?

Stockton White Water CC site Stockton-on-Tees, only a short walk to see the display.

Ralph

As you probably suspect the display is actually on the Monday.

Yep, I'm with you but we'de have to get a move on as the site fills up for this.

I stopped a couple of years back for the fireworks and there was plenty of room that year.

Ralph

As I say I'm up for this. Not least as Steph can get to her mum within 30 mins if needed.

Ken or Ralph

would you like to put this up as a meet on the calendar. I'm afraid it is too far for us to go, but sounds like good fun!

Hi, don't know what Ralph thinks but Id like to see if there is any more interest first.

I am interested but its a bit far away for me to go firm yet, I am still in chilled Rose mode rather warm Gluevine

A bit more info on the whitewater site.
It can definately take RV's I've seen a few on there Winnies and so on. The site is about 10 mins from an Asda store, 20 min walk into Stockton along the riverside and half an hours walk into Middlesborough. There is a pub within 5 minutes from the site and the food last time we were there is good. Showers and toilets are good and well kept. Full service pitches are available. And of course 5 mins from the whitewater canoe facility, makes good watching and international events are held there.

I thought Stockton would be a bit far north for most people, but it is dual carriageway all the way from most places in the country, that is from places that have decent roads, as we do in the north east.

Well I think Stockton is too far for us, but if anyone has any ideas for anything middle of the countryish, that would be good........
There is no reason why there couldn't be several meets on any given weekend - but this bonfire weekend there only seems to be four of us at the moment

I have booked two nights on the Stockton White Water CC site for the 5th and 6th Nov I will be there from lunch time and Dot will follow after work in time for the fireworks.

Ralph

I would be interested but only if it is a weekend meet. That nasty thing called work keeps getting in the way!

Is the bonfire on the 5th or on the Saturday before/after?
