Bolt to Spain

Looking for advice and input. We got our motor home in December and so far enjoyed a few weekends away.
A window has cropped up where we can shoot off to Spain for a bit of winter sun departing Wednesday 5th feb window is 25 days.

Questions are as follows

Will we get in a camp site ?
What crossing channel tunnel or ferry Portsmouth Caen?
What should we take? ( newbies)

On the way want to visit Burgos and San Sebastián only other criteria is a bit of sunshine maybe some mountain biking.
Opportunity has only cropped up today that’s the reason for the disorganised post but that’s why we got a motor home

Hi,

I would look at a direct crossing to be able to enjoy that 25 day window. It will soon go. It will be cold up North and Usually Warmer down in the South. Even only as far as Alicante I have seen 24c in February.

Check out the Brittany Ferries direct to Spain. Or Try and get as far east in France and head south (Unless you live near the tunnel)

I just took a look at the Ferries with BF to Spain. They are full and even if you can get on, very expensive. You are looking at around £1400 - £1600 return for a 7m Motorhome.

Very busy time in Spain...book ahead if possible, inland sites will see little visitors, but the coast is well attended, very cold inland, but can be sunny and wet at times....snow has been in some regions...even where we are in Murcia... February is our coldest month...expect your proposed trip to be an eye opening adventure....and where would we be in this world without people being adventurous...
