Does anyone know if the Bobil heat exchange system works with a Propex Hs2000 heater? Their website seems to only talk about deisel heaters?

Cripes. Never heard of Bobil before. But saw a video on youtube 2 days ago where someone was using them. Mentioned them to Wissel yesterday and apparently he has been using them for a while...
Now you oooantooo (y)

I don't think how the heat is generated matters as it works off the hot air. Hopefully Wissel is about he may be able to answer having done a few installs of this gear.

I’ve heard of Bobil before, but not as a company name!

Appears you are correct :)

just give Ed, the owner a call, he built our van and we have his fancy diesel heating and water heating system (fancy to me anyway). I think he's an engineer by background so if there's a way to make it work he'll try and help.

Thanks will do. Are you happy with it as a system?? Any issues with getting enough hot water when there is not much sun??

Well, we only really started testing the water heating using the diesel heater recently and it'll get to 50c in about 30 mins. Sometimes we use the electric element in the water tank which is slower, depending if we're on hook up or how much battery we have. And as our system warms the water using excess engine heat as you drive we often have nice hot water after driving for a hour or more. Plus I can turn the heating and water on using WiFi on the bobil controller from the bed so I love that on a cold morning.

Unless using solar energy to heat water is automatic I haven't tried that function.

Have just spoken to Sam at Bobil. The system works with LPG heaters too :giggle:
Have placed my order.
