Bluetti AC180

Here's one with a controller
This is certainly one I would consider thanks but do I. A) Need a controller to use with Bluetti and B) Can I just connect up to my existing mttp with 150w solar on the roof? I like the flexibility of it being mobile.

Much easier to with its own controller for power pack and van !
Why? an explanation would be helpful for us non techie folk.

I prefer to have it all integrated in the van. Sure, it's more complex to get a lithium battery installed and all the chargers upgraded. But it'll get charge wherever there's sun (from the panels on the roof) or when you're driving. And no faffing with lugging the thing about.

I accept your point but you can’t use your set up at home in the event of a power cut or use it for free power in your work shed etc whereas I can.

I thought about it and in the case of a power cut, I'm not sure what I'd want to run off one of these. We had a 5 minute power cut this week. The previous one was 5 years ago and lasted a couple of hours. Would I bother hoiking the full height fridge freezer out from it's nook to get to the plug?

I've got a £70 power bank that'll run a laptop for half an hour or charge lots of phones. Fits in a pocket.

All my power tools are battery powered.

Handy device to own. Unfortunately the bluetooth switches itself off too quick so if you have it hooked up to motorhome ehu you will need to switch on manually. The way round that is to run it on dc which will not drain as much as 240v. You can then use the Bluetti app to switch on inverter when required. Hope that helps someone.

Given my recent leisure battery woes and subsequently my vehicle battery too.
I am delighted to have had a Powerbank. Mine being an Anker 757.
When the van systems go wrong, it's very helpful to have an independent alternative.

Just ordered an EcoFlow 160W folding panel to go with the Delta 2 I recently got. Gives flexibility. 👍🥳

Another good power station, I looked at that before settling on Bluetti.

The Slaws Have been using a bluetti and solar panel on their holidays and have been happy with it.

We have an aferiy one and I’ve integrated it into the charging system when moving, it’s also on a changeover switch for the roof solar. The folding, removable panels are great when you are with the van or sun is low etc but you cannot leave then out if you go out!
