Black waste dumper charged

A man (67) has been charged after a stream near Castlebay on the Isle of Barra was contaminated with human waste from a campervan. We received a report of the van’s toilet cassette being emptied around 10.30am on Sat 29 April.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

I thought under certain conditions (during heavy rainfall) you were allowed to dump raw sewage straight into the waterways .....or at least the water companies are .

Well I guess if charged they have evidence, if deemed guilty I hope he is prosecuted. It's just unacceptable to think what it would be like if everybody just dumped where they wanted, and the consequences that would inevitably follow.

Living up on the moors I see loads of cars dumping rubbish, nappies, fag packets, plastic etc etc sick of complaining to the council. If it had been motorhomes I was complaining about it would have gone viral. Council dont seem bothered at all.

I put a post on here about it and the negative people on here never comment on it but you just know they would be all over this thread.

Top of Scotland where the zip wire is car pulls up next to us in the lay-by and 2 people run up the hill with their toilet roll.

Motorhomes got both but still no one seems on the slightest bothered and the reason is you can never stop cars doing it but motorhomes are an easy target, especially if someone on the council owns a campsite, which I suspect is the case around here.
