Any ideas of campsites in Birmingham with good transport links please ?
South/west area preferably.

Don't know what you're looking for but we've stayed here.

Looking on search for sites, there doesn't seem to be much at all until you are a good few miles away from Birmingham, and the nearest two are a bit rural. Umberslade Estate near Tanworth in Arden is about half a mile from a railway station.
Hopefilly, others may know of nearer sites than that.
Plantsbrook Nature Reserve to the north east of the city is a little closer and has bus stops a hundred yards from the site according to google street view
**edit
as pointed out above - Lyons boatyard is closer

Thanks both.
Yes I've also searched , but as has been suggested there doesn't seem to be much around.

I'm not sure I'd want to risk a carpark or other non-secure site much closer to Birmingham .
Maybe a member on here would be happy for you to spend a night or two on their drive?
