Bilbao to Ontinyent

Has anyone driven from Bilbao to Ontinyent or Valencia? If so, what are the roads like? Providing my old banger passes the MOT on Tuesday I’m planning to go via Rosslare to Bilbao towards end of Sept for 3 weeks. Any hidden surprises along the way?

Spanish roads and motorways are great. Yes we have done it. Across to Pamplona, onwards to tarragona and then down the coast.
