As I have started doing track days again, and don't have a van anymore, I have been looking for a suitable bike rack to carry my track bike to meetings around the country. Had considered an Easy Lift trailer having seen one recently at Anglesey, but then this popped up on ebay

I had to purchase the correct carrier brackets for the Al-Ko chassis as it had previously been fitted to a PVC, but all went smoothly and now I am awaiting delivery of a Canbus relay (thanks Papa john!) to complete the wiring-in of the light board. It's a lot less fiddly to use than the Easy Lift and is quickly detachable for when we go abroad. Only downside is it's 150kgs payload and the weight it adds to the chassis. However, these are offset by the fact that my track bike weighs less than 150kgs, my partner doesn't come with me to the meetings and I'll run with an empty water tank. Total cost of purchase and fitting has come in at just less than half of the recommended retail price of a new one.

Which brackets did you buy and where from ?, im looking for a similar set up, a pic of brackets would be helpful 😁

From the logo on the carrier it looks like its been made by Armitages of Ferrybridge. Take a look at their website or facebook page for an idea of what they can do. They're good guys.

I had to buy a pair of lowering brackets, which bolted directly into the existing holes in the AlKo chassis extension pieces, and a pair of carrier brackets, which bolt onto the lowering brackets and give clearance for the rear valance overhang. I will try and photograph them tomorrow for you.
