Bike rack for autotrail commanche

Hello I’m new to this site so apologies if I have posted this question incorrectly. I was hoping someone could help me with some information. I have a 2018 autotrail Comanche which id like to fit a bike rack to however with the spare wheel fitted to the rear of the vehicle I’m wondering if this is possible.

Please let me know if anyone has fitted a bike rack to their commanche.

Welcome to the forum. We don't have a bike rack fitted to the MH, we have a tow bar with a Thule bike carrier mounted on it and have used it for about three years now, it can be quite expensive to have a tow ball fitted and then the bike rack to fit it is also quite expensive too, but it's another option. We already had a tow ball fitted so not so bad for us.

Yes you can fit a bike rack … Thule do a special bike rack for Autotrail’s, we purchased ours from hill view awnings
if you contact Autotrail tec services they will send you the load specs and measurements for fitting the bike rack

We already had a tow ball fitted so not so bad for us.

Thank you Dave for your quick reply I forgot to mention in my post that we have a tow car that we take on most of our trips. We originally looked into the thule bike rack before we got our tow car and they looked really good.

Yep, they sure do. While not a Comanche, it has the spare wheel on its butt end. Its on 2 quick release bolts on the lower connector and swings up and easily removed when required.

I have a 2018 Delaware and have been told by multiple people that you cannot fit a bike rack to ATs after 2016. Someone told me that Thule got sick of AT changing the location of supports in the back Walls of Comanche and Delawares which meant they had to change the design of their racks. If you have any success in finding a provider of racks I would also be interested.

I use a tow bar mounted one but finds that it bottoms out regularly on the Delaware. May not be such a problem tag axel Comanche.

Memo Holland make the Sky-Star, its an adjustable for height and width bike rack that I'm sure can be adapted to suit the mounting's on the OP's tow bar.
