Best way to install this pipe .....

Need to add this new water fill pipe as the old one had gone brittle and split.

What's the recommended method to install, and is it the correct pipe?

So far I've used a jubilee clips but water is still finding its way out the bottom connection at the top of the tank ever so slightly.

Wire hose clips would be better.

Isn't one downside, granted less on fresh water side, of corrugated tubing is that any clag or bio film will settle & build up in it?

The pipe I bought for my sump pump looks like the OPs photo and was smooth on the inside…

Hold the end in a jug of boiling hot water, then quickly transfer to spigot and tighten hose clip.
