Chausson X550
Just picked up a new Chausson X550 and having had Hymer A Class motorhomes previously I am very impressed with it.

I would ask for some advice from knowledgeable members about the best television which will receive its signals wirelessly from an Avtex wifi set up. Before reading some negative advice from posts on here I was thinking of getting an Avtex tv but it has been reported that some of the software is quite outdated.

Is this a fact and should I just get a good quality television from a mainstream manufacturer? Power will be 230 volts from a pure sine wave inverter.

Thanks for any advice that is offered.

If you're powering it on 230v just get a decent smart tv / firestick
I don't think there's a great deal to choose between the main brands now unless you're a perfectionist capable of seeing the things critics write up in the reviews magazines that most of us never see or hear
PS you may need a sound bar as most flat screens lack a bit of audio quality

Great idea thanks chaps. Hadn’t thought of a monitor, interesting.👍

We use 12v tv with fire stick running on 12v as well, no need for 240v

Some domestic TVs are in fact 19vDC and have a 240v to 19vDC external power supply. There are 19v LG Smart TV/Monitors at Argos that are on sale and will happily run off of a laptop PSU plugged into a ciggy socket or other 12v supply. We have a 22” LG and Firestick connected wirelessly to the moho WiFi router and both run perfectly.

My Avtex Smart TV connects seamlessly every time to my Avtex AMR 985 on the roof (from Tromso to Cadiz and all places in between).

Do not bother with a TV as you don’t need the tuner these days. The solution is a monitor. I run a 4K one in the Motorhome. Pair this with a Firestick and you’re all sorted. ✔️
Can I ask how the sound works with this setup please?
