Did our first ever European visit from April to July in 2024 and toured all around Spain visiting many cities, towns and mountain villages.

Valencia was one that we missed (although heading North our SatNav took us through a really busy part of it)!

So we are looking for recommendations for a stop outside of Valencia that offers easy access by regular bus, or close enough for an inexpensive taxi. Happy to consider off-grid (providing its not risky) or campsites.

Quite liked Pobla de la Farnals where we stayed last year. It does have a direct bus service but only one every 2 hours ☹️

Thanks 👍

Lots in El Saler with bus to valencia, we stopped at the beach car park but it was winter, looks like is no overnight in summer.

Thanks Lenny & GerTee.

I found a posting from last year that recommended that one, along with ‘Nomadic’ and both of those look good for us 👍

We used the Nomadic Valencia Camper Park and very impressed with it. Short walk to the Metro Station that goes straight into Valencia. Reception staff very helpful and English speaking. They sell the Valencia tourist card that also covers the Metro and happily tell you where to get off for the tourist area.

A paid site! Were you feeling unwell at the time?

I was going to suggest Pobla de la Farnals. At least it's a freebie plus a fair bit of ad hoc space across the road.
Cyberyacht: Went there based on your recommendation and really liked it, would definitely visit again, but not as a base for visiting Valencia due to too few busses.

Looks like where we stayed.

Reading back it was 8km to town on a dedicated cycle route. What I remember it was free. Stay there as long as the toilet casette could take it. We may well use it again this year

If you go to Valencia Camper Park, try the Paella in the camp bar. Pretty good. Chef appears Spanish but he is from London.

Nice atmosphere on this site
