Plenty of things to look on the way. A little off course is my personal favourite
https://www.puydufou.com/france/en/must-see-france. Versailles is also really worth a visit. Both have plenty of places to stop nearby. There is a huge Aire at the former.

Other than that, we have tended to look at the total distance to be covered and divide by a day or two less than you have available, then look ahead for places that may be interesting. Plan to arrive mid to late afternoon in case the Aire is full and you need to drive on to the next. We have found some lovely places by accident.

There seem to be less nice places to stop once you get north of Arras or thereabouts, but others may not agree.

Try the aire at Sarlat, lovely old town with lots of eating/drinking places. A bit further north is Brantome, another nice venue with an aire.

There's a lovely campsite at Confolens that's open until the end of September (I think) with pitches on the riverside. There's a British chippy in the town, if you are interested, a short walk from the site.

There's a nice bistro in town called Au Normandy, opposite the cathedral, we've had a few giod meals there.

That Aire is on quite a steep slope, The Carrefour has a dedicated car park for Motorhomes and the LeClerc has Motorhome spaces. Carrefour is better for visiting the town.
