What I think is happening is if it says you have zero days left it is taking into account the first trip. It is a bit misleading as both trips are 48 days but from my finger counting exercise 180 days back from 13 October we were still in France, so the clock is still ticking. By delaying our departure one day I guess it means we spent a full 90 days in this country out of the EU so the second trip could be a full 90 days if we wanted. I might look at using a spreadsheet to confirm this is happening but for now I'll just take the result on-board, so to speak.Putting those dates in the calculator does give the results you indicated. We've visited that region several times and like it so it is something to keep in mind but I'd like to go somewhere we haven't seen much of. I guess the problem is we've been to France so many times there aren't many places which are new to us.
