Best Mobile provider ?

Not entirely motorhome related but... I have a PAYG sim with O2. Been with them forever. Top up as I need every month and for that I get about 500mb data and a limited text allowance. I use the data for checking e mails, using apps and maps. Recently I have been going over my limit which costs me £1 a day. I was reluctant to go on a contract but realise it’s the best option. I have seen a very good sky mobile deal ( use sky tv) and an OK one from BT ( I have their broadband at home) O2 can’t come close with their offer. So any opinions/experience of sky or O2 mobile use please. Which is best and gives best coverage. Not bothered about Wi-fi abroad as have MiFi with 3, although cheaper phone and text when abroad would help.

im with virgin 10g 2500 calls £13 a month sim only theres lots of good deal out there have youi looked at uswitch they often have good deals exclusive to them

I'm still on payg with 3. 3p a minute on calls a 2p a text 1p a mg data. Spend about £3 a month . The best deals seem to be with carphone warehouses new network ID (based on 3)

Sim with 3. 10£ a month unlimited calls and texts 4gb of data. Its not monthly but a years contract. Taken out 6 to 7 months ago. So look at sites , carphone warehouse for example, and see whats about at the moment.

Go with pay as you go or a 1 month contract at first, then if it doesn't suit for whatever reason you can be rid.

We're on Plusnet 1 month contract at the minute and very pleased with coverage and price. They use EE network.

Thanks for all your replies. Food for thought. Quite like the idea of the ‘3’ option as wouldntie in with mifi as well. Also it is very similar to what Sky were offering. Shows it can be done so why is BT still ripping me off!!! Will sort when back from USA on non Motorhome trip. Hotels not sites, very different!

I moved to Vodaphone from 3 mobile as they allow you to tether abroad. My deal is 20gig data, unlimited texts and minutes. Cost before cashback £20.00/month after cashback £12.50.

Very pleased with coverage get 4g all the time and I haven't used the MiFi on this trip yet!

better to be on two networks it doubles your chance of getting coverage
