Anyone recommend a decent one please that i can just throw on top of the van?

Not magnetic, but we use an Avtex one with an additional weight on the base ( the suction cup is hopeless). We can usually get a decent picture if needed. Most of the time we just stream via the mifi & firestick.

I had a brilliant one used with the last van. Nevcox or a very similar name. It was around £39 and very good value.

I have one of these, about £15 on Amazon or eBay, shouldn't work for that money! But they work surprisingly well, only used as a backup when too windy for satellite, but never failed to work.
