Hi folks I have an e560 bessacar . Can you tell me if the hab door is locked from inside ( button pressed down) &I then pull the handle inside to open it should the button pop up . Mine dosnt so if i get out with keys inside i am locked out . Help much appreciated .

It should pop up, ours does. Years ago I replaced a spring in the lock mechanism because the remote would not unlock the door, possibly the same problem. Pest of a job but doable.

Might I suggest you hide a key in a safe place outside the MH. You used to be able to buy magnetic ones for cars. Then if you do you can get back in.

It does sound strange but nothing Swift do surprises me. It could have been like it from new or just something broken

I have an E560 and it doesn’t open when pulling the handle if it has been lock with the key(remote). It’s apparently a security feature so that someone can’t open the door from outside if the window of the hab door has been left open.

My dealer tried to fix ours at every service for three years, and failed. Once out of warranty it took me a morning to fix it. The door should always open from the inside, even when locked, this is a safety feature, same as the cab doors. Security? someone's having a laugh.
