Hi all,

we recently bought a 2019 Benimar Mileo 282 and the drain tap / cap ( not sure what was fitted originally ) for the fresh water tank was missing, I have tried to source one as has the dealer ( supposedly ) without joy! Just wondered if anyone knows the thread size of the tank? I have found that a tap off a collapsible water carrier fits but would prefer to fit something a little more robust, can anyone help please?

Alan.

If its the one that's about 2.5" in diameter try an Ebay search for "IBC cap"

I have a feeling it might be 11/4“ bsp or 1 1/2” bsp but it’s only a gut feeling 😚 it’s certainly smaller than 2.5” but thanks for the reply.

Have you checked with dealer? They are fairly standard size. You could always take the collapsible container into a dealer to get the correct spare.

I used to have a 282 and bought a spare just in case I ever lost it. Unfortunately when I sold the van I left it in or I’d have sent it to you.

Stupidly I threw the collapsible container away when I found out the tap fitted, I am just thinking about buying another so I have a spare and if I do I will do just what you have suggested 👍

If it helps it’s green 😀
I presume that’s the cap that I have seen on YouTube? I would prefer to fit a tap similar to what would be fitted to a pond filter as the cap seems a stupid idea, wet clothes from water running down your arm etc!
Thanks for the reply though 👍

Rummaged around in the garage and found it. If you need it pm me your address and I’ll send it to you.

No worries, it just proves all the stuff I collect in my garage will come in useful some day. 😀
