Hi all, I have just purchased a (2023 model) Benimar 494 Motorhome, I just wanted to introduce myself and ask owners opinions and if I have made the right decision or not
I have already heard the Ford transit 170bhp engine can be a little troublesome!

Hi there, we’ve got a 2016 Mileo 286 which we’ve had since 2020. It’s our first Motorhome. We love it - the layout works really well for us - and we love the Motorhome life. As we get more time, we’re looking to be able to do more trips. I’d be lying if i said we’d not had any problems, but we haven’t had anything serious enough to detract from our enjoyment. I think Benimar come out as really well equipped, good value and overall good quality. Enjoy!

Whilst I am not a transit fan, I think the troubles were with earlier models and you will be fine.

We have Tessoro 486, 170hp, 2020 model, goes like a dream no problems at all?

My brother has a 2022 Benimar. The layout woudn't suit me but there's no doubting the build quality & value, he's not had it long but been through France & Spain very happily. I think you'll be fine!

Well we have a 2019 494 and we have done 15,750 miles and the Ford part has been faultless so far. Last service (4th Year) they replaced all the injectors because one of them had a small leak! I have never had any issues with the injectors although many have. So avois short runs and try not to let it sit on your drive for months on end and all should be fine!
