My new Fogstar lithium 230 seat base battery arrived last week and today I set about fitting it.
Bit of a struggle getting it into the base, so glad I didn't order the 280 that some say fit in the base.
All was going well until it came to refitting the seat.
Unknown to me the seat has a bulge on the underside of the bottom plate, the swivel mechanism no doubt.
Anyway the battery was virtually level with the frame and this bulge prevents the seat sitting correctly.
No chance of lowering the battery, I'd already had to remove the timber base the gels were fixed to.
Bugger !
I did briefly consider trying to raise the seat with packings but soon dismissed this as too dangerous.
Under the side bench it is then.
Ah well, I've lost some under bench storage but gained some under seat storage.
Just wish I'd ordered that 280 a/h now
Anyone else come across this problem with ISRI seats ?
Rant over
The offending bulge
