Can I install a battery master into a, CBE Distribution box DS520 onto battery terminals marked ,
+B2 (leisure battery )
-B2 (ground /earth )
+B1 (vehicle battery )
Thanks Dave .

hi Eddie bought a battery master today, my leisure battery is a ( fogstar 280 ah ) it is under the seating area in the rear, I need to run a cable from there to my starter battery under the bonnet, what size cable would you recommend ? and would it be wise to add a fuse at either end ?
thank you in advance

The BM transfers less than 2A so even a 1.5mm cable would be ok for a few meters.

Can you not just connect it to the B1+ terminal on the distribution box?

I’d connect it at the split charge relay to make life simple

As others have said, it's probably easier to wire it to a starter battery connection that's on a split charge relay or the 12V distribution box. However if you do end up running a wire all the way to the starter battery, you should put a fuse on the starter battery end, near the starter battery. A small fuse, 5A or 3A, will be quite adequate.

Thats great thank you for the advice. It will probably easier to run the cable rather than remove the passenger seat and then attempt to work out what to do once in there. Regards

i decided to remove the passenger seat today, i connected the battery master via the split charge relay, i must say it was considerably easier than running a length of cable from the leisure battery to the engine bay on my back or trying to route it under the floor or trims. looks a lot neater too, thanks to all who shared the advice
