Try under the seats. Maybe driver or passenger. If not, I wired mine into the leisure battery compartment and ran the wire under the flooring to the starter battery with suitable fuses.

The reason the split charge relay is suggested is that the three connections (starter positive, leisure positive and common negative) are all available in a convenient position.

In most coachbuilts, the split charge relay is built into a distribution/fusebox, which also has those three connections available. This is usually easier than the alternative, which is to run wires all the way to the two batteries and find a negative too.

Thanks all will do that instead

Mine is Burstner T620 on Ducato 130 with EBL99 & AD01

Is it as simple as just connect it between both (Hab & Cab) batteries ?

( reason I'm asking is that Vanbitz wont give me an answer to this query. They say:

"Good morning, The Battery Master is suitable for most vehicles but the installation process varies from vehicle to vehicle. Without looking at the vehicles specifications and how everything is wired we would not be able to provide an answer".
Kindest regards Ash Percival General Manager.

To be fair I think they did answer and it seems a reasonable response, when I fitted one to our van the 3 connection point were all available in the central electricals locker, on out Flair the relative points were all available at the CBE control box, I would not be surprised if the all the point you need were associated with you control box, you just need to go hunting with a voltmeter.

With the EBL99, there's basically two ways. At the back of the EBL there is a terminal block with three connections, for the starter battery (SB), leisure battery (WB) and common negative. Be careful of the colours, on mine black is leisure battery positive, brown is negative.

Alternatively you could wire into the connectors on the front panel. For the leisure battery you could use the 2-way 'Zusatz Ladegerat' (= auxiliary charger) connection, or pins 1 and 3 of the 3-way Solar connection. You can get the MnL (Mate'n'Lok) connectors from automotive electrics suppliers like 12VoltPlanet. Crimp the pin onto the wire, and push the pin into the back of the shell until it clicks locked.

If you do this, you'll need to insert a fuse in the appropriate slot to allow the current flow from the connector to the leisure battery.

For the starter battery connection it's more of a problem. Pin 1 of the 5-way goes to the starter battery. One method is to make a short 5-way extension, maybe two or three centimetres, and while you are wiring it, put in an extra long wire for the BatteryMaster. It seems the 5-way plugs are more difficult to find than the others.

To be fair you own it, its YOUR van and you don't know where it is, so emailing us and asking to "guess" where it is, is a little unfair, especially if we give you the wrong information and you cock it up that would be wrong as well!
