I’m looking to replace the leisure battery as the current one may be cream crackered. Original equipment is 100 Ah. Can I go bigger than this if the battery fits in the compartment? Not looking at lithium as I can’t justify the cost. I’m likely going with an AGM.
Any advice much appreciated.

Yes provided it will fit in the battery compartment there is nothing stopping you from fitting a higher amperage battery

Fit as many batteries as you can to maximise AH. Many threads on here discussed AGM having short life in some circumstances.
Lead Carbon have good reviews for an easy upgrade.

As above agm’s don’t get favourable reviews on here, if your charger has the gel setting then that would be a better option as you can use more amps from the battery, and of course if you can squeeze two in all the better…👍🏼

That's not quite correct. You can draw fewer amps from a gel battery than from a AGM battery of the same size. However, you can use more of the available amphours (AHrs) from gel batteries than from AGM, because you can safely take them to a lower state of charge without damage. I think that's probably what you meant. There is a lot of confusion between amps - how fast you can draw power & amphours (AHr) - how much power is available in total.

That's why gels are generally preferred for leisure battery use, unless you also want to run a large inverter, when the higher discharge rate of AGMs becomes more important.
