Hello folks..not being leccy or techy minded..
We are waiting for campervan with compressor fridge...spec recommends an extra 80amp battery..so we thought instead of two gel batteries to go for 105 lithium one...and a 100w solar panel...does this sound OK?...please

The techies will be along soon with calculations, but the 100w solar sounds unlikely to recharge your batteries ?

Lithium would be the best option, one of the big advantages of Lithium is being able to charge them fast. 100 watt of solar is not going to do much you need to fit as much as you can on the roof at least 300 Watts.
Being a new van with a smart alternator it should come with a B2B you need to check it has a Lithium profile if not change it for one that has.

Of course it depends on how you want to use your new van, more solar will get you a higher charge rate when the sun is out, more battery capacity will get you through periods when the sun doesn't shine.
