Hi Top
Exp
I'm a newbie
So, before Christmas our 2021 Autotrail Comanche was hooked up to the electric at home and the batteries (both vehicle and two leisure batteries) were fully charged through the EC700 and the PX300 charger. The power was turned off at the outside socket at the house. A week later I have just turned the socket back on and power is getting into the van as the lightening flash is lit up and 230v appliances are working but, the batteries are not being recharged. The little light beneath fuse 1, the 25 amp charger fuse is green but the control panel above the door shows no power going to either the leisure or vehicle batteries. Could this be as simple as a new fuse required, a new PX300 charger is required or am I missing something else? It’s never been a problem before.

First thing I would do is measure the voltage at the battery terminals. That will tell you if there is a real problem, because it's possible the control panel isn't showing the true situation. Any multimeter will do for this, you can get one for a tenner or so at any diy store. Are you OK with using a meter to measure battery voltage? Is it easy to get access to the battery terminals? It can be a real pain in some motorhomes.

Thanks for the advice 👍 I removed the EC700 and disconnected & reconnected the lead to the PX300 and it appears to have done the job for now. A multimeter will be a worthwhile investment though. The battery terminals are easily accessible on this one so thank you.
