While I am saving up for the world of Lithium .
Thinking of getting a cheap battery monitor to go on my 2 x Varta lead acids..
Anyone fitted something like this ? if so any feedback.

I think these are a good idea. Although make sure it's two way. Some of these devices are designed to measure yeild, so only measure current in, not current out, which makes them useless for battery monitoring.

I have a Victron one which has proved invaluable for having an accurate view of the batteries status. The eBay one does pretty much the same data views and at the price you are saving over £100 so nothing to lose really

I fitted a simple digital voltage readout on my starter battery. And for my 2 x lead acid backup leisure batteries a plug in digital voltmeter. Both these read voltage only so only a guide to what power is in the batteries, so would be interesting to see what your intended purchase realistically reads amps wise.
For the price its probably worth a punt. (y)

The one mentioned can only measure current in and out
this type can measure SOC , i used one with Lead acid before lithium now have a BMV712.
