I need to order one of the above. I have ordered replacement locks as a fall back if cleaning current locks doesn't work.

Daft question: If anyone can order an extraction key.........surely anyone can extract the locks from your mototorhome? Am I missing something?:unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure:

I locked my locker keys in a locker and had to drill the lock. Expensive mistake.

The barrel won't remove unless you have gained entry to the van and removed the circlip that holds it in place.

Also be aware that there are two types of extraction key, one is supposed to be for your average lock and the other is for a "high security" lock, as fitted to late models of German manufacture.

Depends on the arrangement the lock barrel is being used in Phil, with our external lockers it only needs to be in the unlocked position for the barrel to be removed, but on our hab door lock it as you say.
Our locks barrels are Zadi.

Apologies, I should have made it clearer that the comment I made above applies to habitation locks. Also so applies to A class driver/passenger doors.

I knew of a caravan place that did spare keys - He kept about 50 keys on one large key ring and about 30 on another. They fitted 95% of locks. Try a locksmith, depending on how good they are they may be able to help.

On Hartal "fawo" barrels , which is the majority of motorhomes , the (slightly longer than standard) barrel removal key reaches and retracts the rearmost and slightly larger barrel retainer tumbler ( indicated ) this is the component that holds the barrel in place. The barrel can then be extracted from its cylinder regardless of whether the door is locked or not . Second pic shows the retaining tumbler engaged in its slot, holding the barrel in place. The circlip mentioned earlier only needs removing if you don't have an extraction key.
