Hi fellow 3D printers,

If anyone is considering a P1S i can tell you I have one, have been using it since July 24 and it's a consumer product which essentially means you don't need to know much about 3D printing, unlike printers that have existed before.

It's enclosed which helps reliability in prints and makes for easier printing in ASA or ABS, even Nylon if you fancy that ( although get familiar with PLA first before other filaments)

Mine has printed flawlessly in PLA and PETG right from new, altho some of the models are challenging and knowing when supports and brims are needed takes a little time. ASA prints great but sometimes needs extra attention.

I got the AMS with mine, but its main use is continuing a print when a spool runs out and moving to another automatically.

The footprint of the P1S is 15" square and because the bed does not move there's no over hang

I left my printer in the UK, but hope to get it shipped out here with the rest of my stuff i time, I'll have to get another P1S in the meantime.

Happy to chat anything 3D...

Hi Sewdhull
Is this your first printer. The Bamboo printers are certainly very popular, probably because they are fully assembled, reliable and pretty user friendly, and of course well priced. Have you had any issues with the new firmware that seems to be upsetting many owners.
I’m a Prusa owner myself. Started with Prusa before Bamboo shook the market up with their entry into the market. I keep looking at the bamboo units, but can’t seem to drag myself away from Prusa. I have the Mini, MK3s, MK4 and XL. Thinking of getting a Core1 in the future. Just need to find the room to put it.
